Our School

Message from the Principal

Greetings Folsom Families,

I am excited to serve as your Principal for the 2024-2025 school year and look forward to working together to ensure your child is safe and enjoys a positive learning environment at Folsom Elementary.

Our new carline is up and running! Please follow the carline procedures posted here.

All students will be issued an ID badge that they must wear at all times while on campus. Please assure that your child brings their ID to school every day. This ID will allow them to check in on the bus, check out library books, and receive their school lunch. If your child loses or breaks their ID, there will be a $5 replacement fee that can be paid through My Payments Plus.

We prioritize instructional time and ask that you be respectful of that time by having your children at school before the 8:30 bell rings.  The school day ends at 3:31. For the safety of all children, we ask that your child’s transportation to and from school remain as consistent as possible. If your child regularly rides a bus, we will put him/her on the bus unless we have a note from you. The same holds true for aftercare and carline. No transportation changes will be taken after 3:00.  Transportation changes must be made in writing, sent by a note with the child in the morning, by email with a picture I.D. attached, or in person in the office.  Transportation changes will not be taken over the phone.

At Folsom Elementary, we are blessed with an amazing PTO. Please be sure to join the PTO and follow their Facebook page for updates and event postings. We welcome volunteers at the school and will put out more information about volunteer opportunities soon.

Our district continues to ensure that safety is the #1 priority.  All visitors must check in at the front office by showing identification. Visitors will receive a visitor’s badge that they must wear throughout their time on campus.

Open communication is key, so if any of your contact information changes, please be sure to contact the front office to inform them of the change. We will put out frequent robocalls and texts and want to assure you receive the information.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me or our Assistant Principal, Dr. Reneisha Singleton.
