Our School

Message from the Principal

Greetings Folsom Families,

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year.  I am looking forward to the start of the first school year that feels normal in quite some time.  We have some new faces on campus that I can’t wait for you to meet.  From the teachers and paras to the cafeteria techs and the custodians, secretaries, administrators, and other wonderful support personnel, I am confident that we have put together the right team to lead our children and school to a year of consistent academic growth fostered by feelings of love, acceptance, and accomplishment for ALL students.    We truly believe that ALL students can and will learn to the best of their ability and we will do everything in our power to excel that growth and exceed their greatest potential.

Our district is helping to ensure that student safety is the number 1 priority.  We have a full time School Resource Officer to ensure the physical safety of our students as well as a new electronic access control door locking system system that will be installed on all exterior doors within the next few months.  Our Mental Health Provider and Guidance Counselor provide any emotional support our students need.  All visitors must check in at the front office by showing identification and being given a visitor’s pass.  We know that the lines to check in for special events can be long, so we have purchased an additional Badge Pass device to assist in expediting the check in process.

After two years of visitors not being allowed on campus, we are trying to reestablish our once thriving PTA.  Please be on the lookout for information on joining and supporting our school through the PTA.

We value our instructional time.  Please be respectful of that time by having your children in school before the 8:30 bell rings.  The school day ends at 3:31.  No transportation changes will be taken after 3:00.  Transportation changes must be made in writing, sent by a note with the child in the morning, or by fax with a picture I.D., or in person in the office.  Transportation changes will not be taken over the phone or by email.

If there is anything we can do for you, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.  We are looking forward to a great year!  We truly believe Folsom Elementary is “A Great Place to be.”
